the birth of inversion
Founded on December 20th, 2024, after years in the making, Inversion was born from the intersection of fashion and life itself.
It began with a collection of vintage magazines, half-finished collages scattered across a desk, and a closet brimming with forgotten clothes. Something felt missing, yet something was yearning to be created.
Inversion emerged to bridge that gap— transforming those collages from dreams into reality and breathing new life into the abandoned wardrobe.

who are we ?
We're about turning things upside down —reimagining how we perceive clothes, giving them renewed purpose, and creating beauty from what already exists. As a pre-loved online thrift store, Inversion offers:
- a unique and personalised experience to explore carefully curated thrifted finds, selected with love, passion, and precision.
- to enjoy pieces that are well-maintained, in excellent condition, and thoughtfully chosen

OUR MISSION
We aim to create a community of people who truly love what they wear:
- wearing their finds repeatedly,
- sharing them with friends, and
- keeping the cycle of love going.
We're not here to promote excessive consumption; we're far from that.
We want to see you wear stories, rediscover love for clothing, and realise that through mindful thrifting, you can help protect the planet.

meet the founder
- SAMARA ATTARD
From childhood dress-up games to internships with local designers, Samara’s journey has always been rooted in creativity and fashion. She strengthened her passion with formal studies, earning a Master’s in Business of Fashion at IDEA College.
Just as important were the values she grew up with: upcycling, swapping clothes, and treating every item with respect. That mix of fashion and sustainability eventually blossomed into a deep love for thrifting.
Inversion was born during a turbulent chapter in her life, marked by career change and uncertainty. For Samara, Inversion is more than a thrift shop — it’s a symbol of resilience and renewal. It proves that passion and purpose will always find their way, often at the least expected moment.
Today, Inversion represents affordable, sustainable, and community-driven fashion. She admires and supports other thrift shops in Malta, believing that collaboration — not competition — is the key to building a stronger, more connected community that protects both people and the planet.
